Malika Daya is a Canadian artist-researcher-practitioner of South Asian and Tanzanian descent, whose work explores the intersections of diaspora, memory, and community. Her practice lives in the hyphen—between identities, geographies, and generations. She’s worked internationally at the Art and Global Health Centre Africa and Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and locally with Soulpepper Theatre, Community Arts Guild, b current & more. She is currently the Intern Artistic Director at Volcano Theatre, Co-Creative Director of in draft collective, and Coordinator for the Knowledge Equity Lab. Outside of work, she’s usually chasing golden hour, reorganizing her to-be-read pile, or accidentally starting a new project.
