Sidhartha Goyal

Sidhartha Goyal received his PhD in Physics at Princeton in 2009 and then moved to KITP, UC Santa Barbara for a postdoc. He got his first degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.  Since 2014, he has been an Assistant Professor in the Physics Department at University of Toronto’s downtown (St. George) campus, where he specializes in Biological physics and evolutionary dynamics.

 

Goyal has won several awards, including the Joseph Henry Merit Award (Department of Physics, Princeton University); the Spirit of Community Award (Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Washington, Seattle); an International Business Plan Competition Finalist 2002 I2P - Idea to Product – Competition (University of Texas, Austin); KVPY Fellow (Young Scientist National Scholarship, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India); and the National Talent Search Examination Scholarship (National Council of Education Research and Training, New Delhi, India)
