About the Program
The Ever Emerging Artist Program (EEAP) brings together a dynamic cohort of cross-disciplinary performance creators to explore the realities of modern touring. Designed to develop creators and producers of live performance, this program bridges the gap between creating live performance and touring live performance. Participants will engage in workshops covering a range of topics including: world building, dramaturgy, design principles, basic production skills, budgeting, marketing and negotiating contracts.
How it Works
The EEAP balances collective community learning with independent project development:
Cohort Learning: Participants attend specialized, interactive and in-person workshop sessions, building a peer network and sharpening their critical creation and arts-administration skills.
Practical Workshops: Through in-person sessions, participants learn together, share ideas and offer each other feedback. Workshops are designed to be practical with active engagement. Between sessions, participants will apply workshop learning and feedback to their personal small-scale project. Throughout the process, the Volcano network will offer ongoing support to help you refine your artistic vision, production logistics, and financial planning.
Culmination: The program will end with a showcase where participants will get the opportunity to pitch and share their projects with community and industry stakeholders.
The 2-Year Plan: The program is deeply practical and experiential, ensuring you walk away with the concrete tools, resources, and strategies required to launch and tour your project within the next 24 months.
Pitch and Showcase: The program will end with a showcase where participants will get the opportunity to pitch and share their projects with community and industry stakeholders.
