Vincent “Vinnie” Karetak was born in Arviat and lives in Iqaluit NU. He is a cultural icon in Inuit Nunangat. His face is instantly recognized by Inuit young and old for his work in comedy, journalism, performing arts, theatre and film. Television and film projects include Qanurli, North of North, The Grizzlies, Two Lovers and a Bear, and many more. Theatre includes co-creating (with Laakkuluk Williamson Bathory) Kiviuq Returns and Qaumma, plus several acting projects, including The Breathing Hole at the NAC.
