About Your Speaker
Sanaz Mazinani
is an Iranian artist and educator based in Tsí Tkarón:to/Toronto. She is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. Her projects have been featured in venues throughout Canada as well as China, France, Germany, Guatemala, India, Iran, Switzerland, the UAE, UK, and USA. She has received grants from Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, Canada Council for the Arts, Andy Warhol Foundation, and National Endowment for the Arts, and her work is held in public collections including the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and the City of San Francisco.
